GrittyGod

At GrittyGod.com, I write to the older woman who is adjusting to the unique changes and challenges old age has brought to her. (Altered health, caregiving of spouse or parents, widowhood or late in life divorce–to name a few.)

I help her become aware of the hope she finds in Christ,
as she places her confident assurance in the person and promises of God,
realizing this isn’t the final chapter of her story.

**Although the blog is up, not all of it is fully connected. All the posts from 2025 and earlier are not connected to links or categories. Once they are, they will have new dates on them.
I have one series re-done that will come out weekly. I have some other posts that I will tuck in here and there. I also have a new series I hope to start soon. Probably won’t get it started until after my vacation in August.

Photo by Cassidy Rowell on Unsplash It is interesting how my Sundays tend to give an automatic pause to my week. They aren’t nearly as busy as our Sundays were when Ron was a pastor. It’s early in the New Year and I thought I would encourage us by finding reminders of places where the Bible talks about things that are new. This is one. It talks about singing a new song to the Lord as we worship Him. In fact, this whole Psalm was behind Isaac Watts’ hymn Joy… Read more
